Scope of this Statement

This Statement applies to the website(s) operated by Connected.co and the services provided by Connected.co.  However, this Statement does not apply to Confidential Information disclosed under the terms of a Connected.co Service Agreement or any similar written agreements entered into by a merchant that contain a confidentiality provision (collectively, the “Connected.co Written Agreements”). In case there is a conflict between this Statement and the Connected.co Written Agreements, the Connected.co Written Agreements shall govern.

Personal Information Collected by Connected.co

While using a Connected.co website or service, you may provide us with certain “Personal Information”, which can include your name, email address, other data that can be used to personally identify you.  Connected.co may also collect Personal Information as part of the merchant application process, from you or from our third party vendors, including, without limitation, consumer reporting agencies or financial institutions.

Connected.co website(s) may use “cookies” to store and sometimes track information to make your online experience easier and more personalized. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s computer. Cookies may record information a user accesses on one webpage to simplify subsequent interactions with that website by the same user, or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related webpages. Cookies make it easier for a user to move from webpage to webpage and to complete transactions over the Internet. Most major web browsers are set up so that they will initially accept cookies, but you may modify your computer’s preferences to issue you an alert when a cookie is downloaded, or to disable the ability of third parties to download a cookie to you. If you choose to reject all cookies, Connected.co website(s) may not function properly.

Connected.co may use Pixel Tags (commonplace Internet technology such as web beacons or 1x1 “gifs” and other similar technologies, collectively referred to as “Pixel Tags”), to track your use of Connected.co website(s). A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1x1), that is ordinarily not visible to you and may be associated with cookies stored on your computer. We may also include Pixel Tags in advertisements, social media, email, or other digital articles to determine, for example, whether messages have been opened and acted upon. The information enables us to customize the messaging and services we offer.

Connected.co may also use Personal Information to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce any agreements, policies and rules governing the use of the Connected.co website(s) or Connected.co services.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Information

Connected.co may also disclose Personal Information to third party vendors involved in providing services, e.g., consumer reporting agencies, relevant financial institutions, card association processors, card associations, technology providers, service providers as reasonably necessary or appropriate to provide services to Connected.co. In these cases, relevant third parties have agreements with Connected.co that include confidentiality obligations. Because Connected.co may use service providers located in different countries, Personal Information may be transferred to a country in which you do not reside.

In response to compulsory (required) governmental and/or third party inquiries, Connected.co may disclose Personal Information to comply with a court order, subpoena, and/or search warrant. Connected.co expressly reserves the right to disclose your Personal Information when Connected.co has a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect Connected.co’s rights, or to enforce Connected.co’s agreements, policies, and rules governing your use of Connected.co website(s) or services, or to cooperate with law enforcement.

CONNECTED.CO DOES NOT SELL OR RENT ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES FOR MARKETING PURPOSES WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION OR CONSENT. Connected.co may, however, disclose Personal Information in the aggregate to third parties for marketing and promotional, security or anti-fraud, and/or business analytical purposes in any form that could not be used to identify you personally.

By using the Connected.co website(s), you consent that Connected.co may provide your Personal Information to third parties as described in this Statement.

Security of Personal Information

Connected.co uses industry standard safeguards to protect the security of your Personal Information, such as SSL, encryption, secure storage, access limitations and other data security methods.  Where credit card information is collected or stored, Connected.co uses only PCI-compliant vendors.   Security protection on web pages that do not ask for credit card information may be minimal.

Please DO NOT disclose or share your access credentials (username, password, et al) with anyone else. If you lose control of your access credentials, you may lose substantial control over your Personal Information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf.
